DVD teaches patients to self-infuse subcutaneous therapy at home
A DVD for patients with primary immune deficiencies, providing all the advice and information needed for them to feel confident to self-administer their medication at home, has been developed by Oyster
The DVD features a detailed infusion demonstration by a specialist nurse, and several interviews, including: nurse frequently asked questions, a case study interview with a patient who self-infuses at home and her carer, and interviews with the chief executives of two leading patient organisation – The Primary Immunodeficiency Association(PIA) and The International Patient Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies (IPOPI).
The DVD will be made available to patients during their home infusion training. The DVD was directed and produced by Riverhouse productions, and supported by Bio Products Laboratories (BPL).
