Toolkit no. 2 of the IBD Nurse Leadership Toolkits programme, hosted on Oyster’s IBDigest Clinical Community, is due to launch this Spring.
Building on the success of the first Toolkit, which just six months after launch attracted a staggering 200 nurses, the second in the series looks at Patient Participation and Involvement.
Working collaboratively with an editorial panel of nurse specialists and Crohn’s and Colitis UK, Oyster’s e-learning specialist Jane Brotchie has written the content.
The Toolkits are designed to support the objectives set out in the IBD Standards, helping nurses to work towards achieving them in all aspects of their work. The design is intuitive, interactive, uncluttered and easy to use. Nurses are able to dip in and out of sessions to complete them at their own pace.
Learning is supported by a variety of multi-media resources and activities such as quizzes, templates, podcasts, videos, patient stories, downloadable articles, useful web links, pictures and flow diagrams.
Warner Chilcott UK Ltd provided funding to produce the toolkits, which are supported by Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
