Oyster conference reports for nurse specialists
Oyster has written and published two conference reports for Clinical Nurse Specialists.
The RCN Immunology and Allergy Nurses Group Meeting newsletter, reports on sessions from the meeting held in May 2011. Emily Carne, local organiser and RCN Group Deputy Chair said of the report: “it really captures some of the spirit of the conference and highlights the key topics.”
Topics covered in the report include: quality of life and location of Ig therapy, home therapy funding and commissioning, and skin signs in PID. The newsletter was sponsored by Bio Products Laboratories and is available for download from the Ig Clinical Community.
The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI) held its first Nurses Forum meeting in June 2011. The ACPGBI Nurses Forum newsletter focuses on audit and precedes the launch of the third IBD Nurse Leadership Toolkit: Audit and measuring outcome.
Cath Stansfield, IBD CNS and IBD Nurse Toolkit Clinical Editor said of the newsletter: “I hope it will motivate you [specialist nurses] to take an interest in audit and use it to work towards protecting jobs and services in these uncertain times.”
